The town offers a wide range of property, from detached and semi-detached homes to bungalows and new build properties (including a new development at Willow Green). There’s a good range of different shops, from supermarket chains to independent stores, plus cafes, pubs and restaurants, and over 30 schools in the surrounding areas.

So whether you’re looking to live near a station, school or river view, we’ll help you find your ideal property in March.

We know March

With a population of around 20,000, March is a quaint, scenic town in Cambridgeshire with a number of shops and restaurants and over 30 schools in the surrounding areas.

The historic town was originally an island in the marshy fens which sits on the River Nene, which is today mainly used by pleasure boats. Since the draining of the fens, March has become a thriving market town.

March is 20 miles from Peterborough and is only a 15 minute train journey, making it easily accessible for commuters.

March is a quiet town, ideal for young families. There’s a leisure centre, plus two local nature reserves to explore and the very pretty ancient church of St Wendreda to discover. The biggest and best ancient church is, of course, the world famous cathedral up the road in Ely.
