This Hampshire town has been described as one of the happiest and healthiest places in the country because of its good employment, schools, affluence and quality of life.
Controlled by Hart District Council, it has a population of some 38,000 and is 40 miles from London, with great connections to the M3. Rail travel to London Waterloo takes around 40 minutes.
The Basingstoke Canal runs through the area and it is popular for walking, cycling, boating, fishing and picnicking.
The most sought-after area in the town is known as the ‘blue triangle’. Stretching between Fleet Road, Reading Road North and Elvetham Road, this is where you can expect to pay the most for property.
