SHOWCASE PROPERTY EVENT:
A beautifully kept and versatile family home in the heart of Claypole, featuring spacious living areas, fantastic garden space and a detached outbuilding ideal for a home business, annexe or office. Warm, welcoming and brilliant
Detached Family Home
Some houses just feel like home the second you walk through the door. This is definitely one of them.
Set within the hugely popular village of Claypole, this is the sort of property that has clearly been properly lived in, looked after and enjoyed over the years. It’s warm, welcoming, incredibly versatile and offers the kind of space that works brilliantly for busy family life both inside and out.
The house itself is beautifully kept throughout, with a lovely balance of practical family living and thoughtful touches that make it stand out from the crowd. Oak engineered flooring runs through the hallway and living room, while the lounge centers around a cosy wood-burning stove complete with built-in log storage tucked neatly into the bay window, perfect for winter evenings when nobody wants to leave the sofa.
To the rear, the kitchen/diner is very much the heart of the home. Spacious, sociable and opening directly out onto the patio and decking area through double doors, it’s easy to picture everything from summer BBQs to chaotic weekday breakfasts happening here. The kitchen itself offers a more modern feel with quality Neff hide-and-slide appliances, boiling and chilled water tap, kick heaters and plenty of workspace for family life or entertaining.
There’s also a large snug/family room giving buyers plenty of flexibility depending on how they live. Playroom, second lounge, home office, gaming room, somewhere for teenagers to disappear to... it can pretty much adapt as life changes around you.
But what really makes this property different is the detached external building.
Currently used as a catering business, this space opens up a huge amount of opportunity for future owners. With its own private entrance plus connected water and electricity, it could suit anyone working from home or needing additional independent space. Hair salon, office, studio, treatment room, games room, annexe for relatives or older children... there’s a long list of possibilities here and it’s rare to find something quite this useful already set up and separate from the main house.
Outside, the garden has a brilliant family feel to it too. Patio and decking areas create great entertaining space, while the lawn, gazebos, workshop and potting shed make it somewhere that genuinely feels enjoyed rather than simply maintained.
The property also benefits from a whole-house water filtration and softener system together with mains gas, electricity and water services.
Claypole continues to be one of the area’s most loved villages thanks to its strong community feel and excellent local amenities. There’s a village shop, coffee shop, sports clubs, village hall activities and popular local schooling nearby, while Newark, Grantham and the A1 are all easily accessible for commuting.
Truthfully, this isn’t one of those homes trying too hard to impress you. It doesn’t need to. It’s simply a really good family home with fantastic space, brilliant flexibility and a lovely feel throughout.
And usually, those are the houses people end up loving the most.
