Perfect Village Retreat.
The spacious entrance hall leads to two reception rooms. The sitting room features an exposed brick fireplace with a wood-burning stove, while the dining room—currently used as a study—also has a fireplace. Both rooms enjoy lovely south-facing views over the gardens.
The kitchen/breakfast room is fitted with a wide range of wall and base units, along with several integrated appliances. There is space for dining and a door opening onto the south-facing terrace. A cloakroom completes the ground floor.
Upstairs, there are four bedrooms and a family bathroom. Three bedrooms overlook the south-facing garden. The principal bedroom includes fitted cupboards and a vanity unit, and two further bedrooms have built-in storage. There is also a generous airing cupboard on the landing.
To one side, a driveway provides off-road parking and leads to the excellent garaging, formerly a stable and coach store, retaining many original features. One garage is ideal as a workshop, and an EV charger is installed. Steps lead up to the property and rear garden. The front garden features a grass bank, mature hedging and a stone wall.
The south-facing, partly walled rear garden is a standout feature. A paved terrace is perfect for outdoor entertaining, with steps leading to a lawn bordered by mature shrubs, perennials and established trees. Outbuildings include a greenhouse, garden shed and a store room/greenhouse attached to the house with power connected.
The total plot extends to approximately 0.2 acres.

Today it is the most popular light aviation airfield in southern England and hosts an annual air show. Other places of interest in the area include Down House, the home of Charles Darwin, and the place where he wrote his world-changing book ‘On the origin of species’, and Churchill’s country home, Chartwell.
