Set in the perfect rural location in the Vale of Taunton Deane between the Blackdown & Quantock Hill Areas of Outstanding natural beauty, Taunton is Somerset’s lively county town.
The town is steeped in over 1,000 years of religious and military history and its picturesque streets are lined with many fine houses and buildings.
Taunton boasts a wide range of shopping and recreational facilities and has excellent communication links with M5 interchange (Junction 25) and a fast rail link to London Paddington.
Taunton has well regarded private and state schools, including the Castle School and Heathfield Community School, both rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted. The train station offers frequent services to London, which is a two-hour journey, as well as to Exeter, Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff and Manchester. Exeter and Bristol airports are both within 40 miles.
