Considered one of the top places to live and work in the UK, Leicester has a wide range of bars, restaurants, shops, markets and more. Train and road links connect you to London, Birmingham, Cambridge and beyond.
The Highcross is Leicester’s shopping and entertainment hub, with 100 stores, restaurants, bars and a multiplex cinema. There’s also the New Walk Museum & Art Gallery, and the award-winning National Space Centre. There’s even something for history buffs. We know Leicester
Leicester is a city close to the M1 and about an hour and a half away from London. The population stands in excess of 330,000 people. The area is deemed to be quiet with lots of nature and a high standard university. The atmosphere is generally family friendly.
There is a multitude of schools with good ratings, for example Rushey Mead Secondary School was rated as outstanding, and the area reflects a lot of its Victorian history.
There are some major employers in the city, including IBM, plus three hospitals and two universities. Leicester is also home to a thriving creative industry and many business start-ups. Many of Leicester University’s graduates stay here once they qualify, so there’s a dynamic and young population looking for rental property.
