We know Dagenham
Dagenham – part of the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and home to the Ford Motor Company – is actually part of Essex.
The two districts have around 200,000 people and boast the fastest growing population in London with an increasingly diverse community.
Travel to London via train takes just 32 minutes and there are numerous primary and secondary schools. The borough has many shopping outlets and is within easy reach of shopping centres at Romford, Thurrock and Barking.
There are London Underground services from Becontree, Dagenham East and Dagenham Heathway and mainline rail services from Dagenham Dock and Chadwell Heath. The A13 runs through the area, connecting it to the City of London and out towards the A282 and M25.
Dagenham is just over 11 miles east of Charing Cross. Well known for its Ford Motors factory, it is also earmarked for a potential new film studios, which would bring millions of pounds of investment to the town and transform it into the ‘Hollywood of the UK’.
