We know Braintree
Braintree lies north east of Chelmsford in Essex and has convenient access to the A120, giving a direct route to Stansted Airport and the M11 beyond.
It is home to the popular designer outlet Freeport, next to which is a multi-screen cinema, retail park and restaurants.
The population of Braintree is over 54,000 and the area is controlled by Braintree District Council. Braintree has very good transport links too: it’s just a 65-minute train journey into London, and there are regular bus services to and from nearby Chelmsford, Colchester and Witham. You’re close to the M11 as well as to Stansted Airport.
There’s plenty to do in the area. At the Colne Valley Railway kids can ride on a vintage steam train. Great Notley Country Park has giant see-saws and a climbing forest. For a bit of retail therapy, head to Braintree’s Freeport designer outlet village (it even has its own railway station).
