Barkingside is a popular area, with a strong family feel. Thanks to the Central line, it’s easy to get into Central London, plus there’s a superb array of green spaces and great schools. From here you can be in Oxford Circus in under 40 minutes (nowhere in the area is more than a 15 minute walk to the tube station), and a wealth of buses serve the area. The new Crossrail Elizabeth Line will open at Ilford in late 2019, which will link East London to West London as well as Heathrow.
With Barkingside well and truly on the map for commuters, it’s no surprise that a number of new developments are appearing and being snapped up by investors, including Bernardo Village, New North Square and Claybury Mews.
Whether you’re looking to let or rent in Barkingside, the haart Lettings team is here to help.

We know Barkingside
Barkingside is in the district of Ilford and comes under the London Borough of Redbridge, known for its great transport links, parks, open spaces, and high-performing schools.
It has a tube station located on the central line, Zone 4, so great for commuting to work and enjoying the city’s nightlife. Many buses also give easy access to the city, too.
There are 35 parks in the borough, with Fairlop Waters Country Park right on the doorstep, perfect for enjoying the great outdoors.
In Barkingside you can get lost browsing at the Wanstead Farmers’ Market, there are also some superb restaurants showcasing different cuisines. The A12 also runs south of the area, so you can be at the M25 in minutes and on your way to the Essex or Suffolk coast in no time at all.
