We know Ilkeston

Ilkeston is part of the borough of Derbyshire and is within close proximity to Derby and Nottingham. 

Ilkeston is steeped in heritage with coal mining, ironworks and lace-making popular in the town, which was founded in the 6th Century.  Queen Victoria is also known to have named Ilkeston a Borough in 1887. 

Ilkeston only recently gained a train station in 2017, which connects the town to Nottingham and Derby. You also have access to the M1 network by car for exploring further afield.

There are some great landmarks in and around Ilkeston like Victoria Park, St Andrew's church and also the Bennerly Viaduct.
