Nearby attractions
In nearby Leavesden is Warner Bros. Studio Tour London, which is known for where much of the Harry Potter film series was filmed. It offers visitor tours where you can see much of the filming areas and props that were used, as well as how the special effects were made. Fans of retail therapy will find Watford Shopping Centre in nearby Watford, which boasts various high street shops and restaurants.

Transport options
Villages aren’t especially known for great transport links, but Abbots Langley is an exception; Kings Langley railway station offers services to Hemel Hempstead, London Euston and Wembley. For those who prefer road, the M25 motorway is within easy reach which loops London, offering access southwards to Watford, Chertsey and Leatherhead as well as westwards to Potters Bar, Waltham Abbey and Brentwood.

Sports and leisure facilities
Just a short drive from Abbots Langley is Watford Leisure Centre, which offers swimming pools, a gym, group exercise studio, squash courts, sports hall and a crèche. Leavesden Country Park is a popular spot for runners as well and also has a football pitch, wildlife areas, tennis courts and an outdoor gym for adults.

Our favourite places
One of our favourite restaurants is the Pin Wie Chinese restaurant in the village, which boasts a menu of high quality Chinese food. We also enjoy Noor Mahal Indian restaurant.
