About Ely
The cathedral is the focal point of the town. Dating to the 12th Century, it’s visible (in this flat part of the world) for miles around. When it comes to shopping, there are all your normal high street favourites, plus some enticing independent stores, pubs, eateries, tea shops and an antiques emporium. The city also has a brand new leisure centre and cinema, a pretty park, and annual fairs, festivals and events. These include Aquafest, a summer tradition where people make and paddle homemade rafts on the River Ouse and generally get very wet.
With a population over 14,500, there is access to good schools catering for all age groups.
At its historic heart, near the cathedral, there are many Georgian and Queen Anne townhouses, plus new builds elsewhere in the town.
We offer a range of properties in and around Ely, including in Littleport, Witchford, Soham and Sutton. Styles of homes vary hugely, from historic detached houses to semi-detached homes, bungalows, cottages, terraces and flats.
