A hidden giant with a story to tell! Behind its Georgian façade lies a deceptively spacious period home offering an extraordinary amount of accommodation, extensive outbuildings and a total plot approaching 0.5 acres (STMS).
So much space inside & out!
Inside, you’ll find an impressive seven reception rooms, seven bedrooms, a kitchen, family bathroom and an ensuite serving one of the bedrooms, offering exceptional flexibility for large families, multi-generational living or those working from home.
The property has enjoyed a varied past, having previously operated as a bed and breakfast, commercial premises and a tea room, demonstrating its adaptability and the exciting possibilities it offers for its next owner (subject to any necessary permissions).
Outside, the surprises continue. A rear courtyard garden—accessed conveniently via an alleyway from the front—leads to parking and four useful outbuildings and a substantial workshop complete with three-phase electricity and an inspection pit, making it ideal for vehicle enthusiasts, craftsmen or anyone requiring serious workspace.
Beyond the workshop lies an expansive garden and orchard, contributing to the overall plot of approximately 0.5 acres (STMS)—a remarkable amount of outdoor space for a village terraced property.
While the home would benefit from some TLC in places, it presents an exceptional opportunity to restore, modernise and tailor a truly distinctive property to your own requirements. With its wealth of accommodation, extensive outbuildings, commercial heritage and generous grounds, opportunities like this are incredibly rare.
Whether you’re searching for an extraordinary family home, a property with business potential, or simply something with genuine character and a memorable history, this remarkable home deserves your attention. Arrange your viewing today and discover the space, versatility and charm that have made this property—and Steve the Skeleton—a true local talking point.

About Wisbech
Situated in the north of Cambridgeshire, Wisbech is a market town with a population just over 30,000. One of its secondary schools, Wisbech Grammar School, is one of the oldest in the United Kingdom, and it also has one of the best-performing colleges in the country.
Wisbech is known as the capital of the Fens. The town’s unspoilt Georgian architecture means that it has often had a starring role in a number of TV period dramas. The town also has one of the oldest surviving Georgian theatres in the UK – the Angles Theatre – which stages a range of shows and workshops for adults and children.
Though there is no train station, buses run frequently every 30 minutes. The A47 connects Wisbech to King's Lynn and Peterborough, where you can access the A1(M). There are good schools nearby alongside popular colleges like the College of West Anglia. The town has a large retail and leisure complex with an eight-screen cinema and a range of restaurants. You’re also close to the stunning Wash National Nature Reserve.
