December is now upon us, which means it’s time to start thinking about how you want home will look over the Christmas period. But have you been using the same old decorations and styles over the last few years but are looking for something different this Christmas? If so check out some of our ideas below:
Earthy Candle Sticks
This is a creative looks that makes use of any empty wine bottles you may have. Put them to good use and turn them into attractive looking candle sticks. All you need to achieve this look are some small branches from your outside trees and some twine.
Mini Christmas Village
Create your own mini Winter Wonderland with an apothecary jar this Christmas! Use salt as the base and place a small house and a few small trees inside. It’s a decoration that’s both easy to make and can be displayed anywhere in the home. You can also get the children involved in creating the small house and the trees!
This is a particular kind of décor that you can keep on display past Christmas way into February, especially as it’s not purely red and green. Get together some candles, pinecones, mini trees and ornaments to create the ultimate winter centrepiece.
The Christmas Jar
For a great Christmas statement piece, find another apothecary jar and mix together a collection of pinecones, artificial berries and ornaments inside. They can also be reused again next Christmas!
Not keen on stretching too far away from traditional decorations? Consider using pillar candles placed on a cake stand (instead of regular candle holders). Make it pop even more by decorating it with artificial berry garland to achieve a real Christmas feel.
