We know Great Shelford

Great Shelford one of Cambridgeshire’s largest villages and is home to some 4,000 people and lies just four miles south of the city.  It has a wealth of local amenities, including banks, pubs, a pharmacy, dentist, monthly farmers’ market, and a range of shops. There are various 'good' rated primary and secondary schools in the area.

It is just a few minutes’ walk to Shelford Train station, with services into Cambridge and London and a cycle track can take you all the way to Cambridge University’s medical campus.

The Sunday Times featured it in its 101 Best Places to Live in 2014. It has a range of shops a couple of pubs and a monthly farmers’ market.

Every July the community comes together for the Shelford Festival and Feast, which dates back to medieval times. The festival, run entirely by volunteers, includes comedy nights, quizzes, bands and great food and drink, and raises thousands of pounds for local good causes.
