Living in Bracknell
Bracknell is a popular commuter centre, with residents having access to the M3 and M4 motorways as well as two railway stations, which get you to London in about an hour. But whilst this is the primary reason people move to the area, Bracknell itself does still have plenty to offer, including high street shopping, restaurants and leisure facilities. Families will be attracted to the area due to the high-quality local schools, along with the neighbouring countryside and attractions.

Bracknell is best known for…
Bracknell is best known for being a commuter town.
Bracknell is within the borough of Bracknell Forest. Nearby attractions The Look Out Discovery Centre is the area’s best attraction. It offers activities for children of all ages, as well as science exhibits and puzzles for older children and adults; the centre is a wonderful day out for the whole family. In the south of the town is South Hill Park, a mansion that dates back to 1760 and is home to a large arts centre. The Wilde Theatre was opened there in 1984, named after Oscar Wilde.
Bracknell has two railway stations, Bracknell and Martins Heron, both of which serve on the Waterloo to Reading Line. The town also boasts decent road links; the A329 motorway connects to the M4 motorway, which connects east into London and west to Reading, Swindon, Bristol and Newport in Wales. The M3 motorway lies south of Bracknell, connecting eastwards into Twickenham and southwards to Basingstoke, Winchester and Southampton.
Sports and leisure facilities
Bracknell has a large leisure centre with swimming and athletics facilities, along with a water park, golf complex, lawn tennis club and a dry ski slope. The woodland areas at the Look Out Discovery Centre are great for outdoor exercise.
Our favourite places
We love the dry ski slope, which makes for a great day out with the family. We also love the various restaurants in the area, such as Shahi Indian Restaurant, which has terrific reviews.
Our Branch Manager for Estate Agency comments:
“I love Bracknell and its surrounding areas because it has an array of cultures that integrate with each other. People are happy to invest in the town and with the new centre under construction, more and more families are moving here. There is a wide range of schools and colleges including private establishments and for commuters there is easy access to the M3 and M4 motorways and a mainline station serving to Reading and Waterloo.”
Our Branch Manager for Lettings comments:
“I love living in Bracknell, it’s becoming a very popular area! Bracknell’s increased popularity is possibly due to the long awaited regeneration which is well underway and due for completion in the Autumn of 2017. The regeneration promises to deliver a state of the art shopping centre, together with lots of entertainment facilities to suit everyone, from mountain biking, to skiing or if you want to go to London you can be there in an hour, it’s all on offer here in Bracknell. From an educational view point, Bracknell also offers exceptional schooling with most schools being rated as good or outstanding.“
