In September of last year we put our house on the market with you with a view to buying our friends house privately. I appreciate that buying off friends is doomed for failure and that nearly happened many times!
However thankfully after 9 months of drama?s we finally achieved our goal yesterday of exchanging contracts and completing next Wednesday. In terms of our experience with your company it had its ups and downs but I would like to make your aware of one of your staff?s individual efforts.
You got us a buyer in December 2013, however they decided after a month that they were too young to get a mortgage! We then managed to gain from our friends a month or two?s grace to get a new buyer. This was a fraught period but the viewers flowed and concluded in three different offers within a few days. As it turned out, typically it seems, we chose to run with the wrong offer.
We chose the new buyer from hell, who on her side had a difficult aloof mortgage advisor, numerous mortgage applications and she kept changing solicitors. On top of that I was stressed, my partner upset and our friendship with the people we were buying off at breaking point.
Whilst private sales I appreciate in your profession can be frowned upon if we hadn?t bought off our friends we would never have moved so everyone?s a winner really!
