Biggin Hill is in the London Borough of Bromley, in South East London. Until 1835 it was an area of farms and scattered cottages. Biggin Hill gradually grew in size; and there was further development in the 1960’s when suburbanisation was popular. Property for sale in Biggin Hill includes 1960's and 1970’s properties, town houses, detached and semi detached properties, as well as a few period homes. Those wishing to set up home in Biggin Hill will notice that although it is officially a London Borough, Biggin Hill has more of a village feel to it. House sales are buoyant and prices tend to be lower than average London prices due to the lack of train services in the area.
In 1918 the Royal Air Force built an aerodrome on the high ground in Biggin Hill. RAF Biggin Hill was the home airbase of the first aircraft to take part in air to ground radio communications, and of the first British aircraft to shoot down a German aircraft in World War II. It was a crucial RAF Sector airfield during the Battle of Britain. It is now London Biggin Hill Airport; air shows are a regular feature there
The Biggin Hill office is located on 'Main Road' which is close to Marks & Spencer 'Simply Food' in the high street. Parking is available directly outside our branch. Despite not having a railway station the area offers good public transport with regular buses into Bromley.
