Turnpike Lane is an area around Turnpike tube station in Hornsey. Property for sale in Turnpike Lane consists of mostly large Victorian buildings converted into flats and apartments. The area covers Ducketts Common which is distinguished by an Edwardian tree lined square and Green Lanes which is convenient for shopping facilities. Green Lanes makes up one of the uprights to the ‘Harringay Ladder’ the other upright being Wightman Road. House sales here consist of similar two story, bay fronted houses, the area is renowned for its appearance with the nearly two-dozen east-west roads making up the ‘rungs’ of the ladder between the two aforementioned uprights. The area is rather beautiful and the properties were built around the end of the 19th century the only downside it that for at least the first month of living here you might not be able to find your way home as the roads have a very similar appearance. Hornsey like many areas in London is currently experiencing an urban regeneration scheme, with a huge injection of funding from Europe and central Government boosting local economies and creating jobs.
