Thorpe Bay

Thorpe Bay is situated on the Thames Estuary and is part of the Borough of Southend-on–Sea. The amenities are quite good and The Broadway shopping area has a small number of shops and restaurants surrounded by residential property. Property for sale in Thorpe Bay varies from grand period pieces to wooden beach huts but a home on the Esplanade is regarded as a premium location. Many of the properties along the front are hotels so house sales are pretty rare but do occasionally crop up. Thorpe Bay is convenient for commuting into London, it is the penultimate station on the Fenchurch Street Line from London, and quite a number of residents commute every day. It is also convenient for Thorpe Hall Golf Club and if you like it wet, you’ll be interested to know that wind surfers consider Thorpe Bay as one of the best four launch beaches in Southend.
