Harold Wood is part of the London Borough of Havering, a community of approximately 25,000 people. The area was developed in the 1950’s and before that is was open farmland, so much of the property for sale in Harold Wood is from the 1950’s onwards, although you may still find farm house sales in the outskirts. Three bedroom semi-detached properties make up the majority of housing in Harold Wood but there are also many bungalows. Harold Wood Hospital closed in 2006, but the regeneration scheme should include its redevelopment into an exciting modern 470 home housing development.
