Around and about…
West Ealing’s vibe is friendly, relaxed and cosmopolitan. On your doorstep you will find a shopping parade, West Ealing train station, a brand new Waitrose superstore and a Majestic wine warehouse.
However, this part of London has not deserted tradition. You’ll still see original fruit and vegetable barrows and it also boasts its own farmers’ market, every Saturday morning, just off the Uxbridge road.
Local restaurants, winebars and pubs can be found in the vicinity. Why not sip cocktails with friends at The Avenue across the road at number 19, or enjoy a drink in one of London’s largest beer garden at The Drayton Court?
Both Ealing Broadway and Waterglade Centre Malls, are just a little further afield with accessible travel links to ensure your every need is catered for. Ealing Film Studio has kept Ealing firmly in the spotlight - both as an icon of British cinematography and a suburban filming location. If you stumble upon a crew midshoot, don’t be too surprised!
A place with green space…
The borough boasts some thirteen parks, including local golf courses and open spaces – offering everything from nature walks, tennis, football and bowls to colourful performance and cultural events. Dean Gardens, with its popular children’s playground, is just a short walk. Walpole Park, next to Pitshanger Manor and Ealing Studios, has something for everyone. Each summer. The park hosts many events for Ealing’s two month long festival. In addition to the famous jazz festival, there are now acclaimed comedy, blues and opera
programmes too.
