Spacious family home!
Stepping through the front door into the entrance hall, the house immediately feels warm and inviting. The living room has always been a favourite space, especially with the bay window bringing in so much natural light shining on the historical art adding a real sense of tradition. The dining room next door is equally charming, with its log burner fireplace creating a cosy atmosphere that’s been perfect for private movie nights with family and friends.

It leads through to a utility room, which has been incredibly useful for keeping things organised day to day. At the end of the kitchen expect just a normal book case but will soon discover one of the books once pulled opens a door to a secret office space. At the front of the kitchen is a door that leads down to a fully carpeted cellar which can be used as storage or can be converted into a cinema room.

The garden is something we’ve really enjoyed. It’s private, mature, and full of greenery, with a mix of lawn and patio areas depending on how you want to use it. Towards the back of the garden is a shed that has been set up as a work shop or can be used for storage.
The location has also been a huge plus, with easy access to local amenities and great transport links with short distance to City Hospital, making everyday life really convenient.
It’s a home with so much personality, and it’s been a wonderful place to live—somewhere that really feels unique the moment you walk through the door.

About Hucknall
Hucknall is a town that lies in the Ashfield district, Nottinghamshire, which has a great family feel and is popular with homeowners who work in the centre of Nottingham.
Hucknall’s origins go back to at least Anglo-Saxon times when the town’s parish church was originally built (Lord Byron is buried there). When coal was discovered in the 19th Century, the town flourished. Today, Hucknall is a popular choice with people working or studying in Nottingham, which is only 15 minutes by train. Hucknall itself has a variety of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants, and there is a traditional market every Friday. The town is also well served by primary and secondary schools, making it desirable by families.
There is a railway station offering trains into Nottingham in under 20 minutes. For drivers, they can easily access the M1. It is a great location for reaching the Peak District and Sherwood Forest in your spare time.
There’s plenty to keep all the family interested around Hucknall. Younger children will love the range of soft play centres and trampoline parks.
