Sponsorship

Colchester United

When it comes to teamwork, you need look no further than haart of Colchester who are the main sponsors of Colchester United.

From the beginning of the 2007/08 season, the U’s blue and white stripes have been adorned with the haart logo on the front of the home and back of the away shirts.

As leading players in the local community, we are delighted to be the main club sponsor this year, at a time when both Colchester United and the branch are at the top of our game in our respective arenas.

Russell Jervis, the estate agencies’ Managing Director and a lifelong Colchester supporter, was a club mascot when he was seven years old. He said: “It’s a dream come true to see the names of our estate agencies on the players’ shirts, especially at a time when they are doing so well in the League.

“We are extremely proud that our company, which has its headquarters and roots in Colchester, will be playing such a prominent and supportive role during the season ahead.”

The Chief Executive of haart and Spicer McColl, Paul Smith, is a fellow season ticket holder and both he and Russell are regular fixtures with their families at club matches.

Mr Smith said: “We’ve had our signage around the ground for some time but becoming the main sponsors really is the icing on the cake. Colchester United is a great family club, which reaches out in so many ways into the community and which has generated a great feel good factor around town, and we share that ethos at haart.”

KitAid

We have kicked off our partnership with Colchester United with a football shirt ‘amnesty’.

Supporters who take their old Colchester United shirts from any previous season to the club shop will be given a £10 discount off the new shirts, while their old shirts will be given away to charity.

Paul Smith, the Chief Executive of haart said: “After such a fantastic season, we wanted to show our appreciation of the club and its fans and this is our way of giving something back.”

The old shirts will be sent to the Three Valleys Water KitAid charity, who will distribute the shirts to communities in Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe.

Note: Running until end October, 2007.
